In the Moment (part 2)

Seriously. If you had told me one of my favorite fragrances might be one that evokes a long time spent in a smoky business meeting I would have told you to take a hike. Go figure and never say never.

But I do. I love it. And yes it reminds me if stale cigarette smoke and a hint of whiskey, books, leather on a fine tailored suit. Or some such. The cigarette thing doesn’t really last that long and it so obviously is not actually cigarette smoke but more of an effect. Alright I’ll say it. It smells like an old man. WITH MONEY.

I must have smelled it before and it left a fond impression. Either of the fragrance or of he wearing it. I have that kind of feeling toward it. All warm and fuzzy.

I speak of none other than ELITE by Floris of London. And darned it doesn’t smell, well, elite! Or at least my idea of how elite should smell. Elite male. Think on that a while.

Not a powerhouse 80’s frag this. Not over reaching in the slightest. Truly a fragrance that I wear rather than it wearing me.

I knew it was true love when I was in an office meeting when there were several of us all crowded around a computer. All clumped together I was getting whiffs of something grand. Somebody smelled great but I thought it was someone else. Whatdya know? It was me!

If I want a shot of “gee I smell good” not matter what the situation, this has been my goto. The fact that is doesn’t seem to irritate my increasingly irritable respiratory system is icing on the cake.

It might not be the thing for all occasions but I find it perfect with work. It is a man’s fragrance, not a child’s. There are also ancillary products with which to bathe, shave, and shampoo. And no one else wears it. And don’t get all curious now and go out and find some. This stuff is mine.
